Just watched Yasmin Ahmad's latest movie..........have so say......I perhaps went in with too high of an expectation....

It was an alright movie........a bit of an art housey feel.......quiet, pretty.....the issues are not as in your face at Gubra.......but still have to say, I prefer Sepet.....

I did not like the casting of Sharifah Amani's younger sister.....she...didn't really fit the role....or she didn't really portray the role well...Amani's older sister was cute as the mother though......

The movie has this languorous feel.....like it's this cat that's slowly stretching itself out.......the music doesn't help......but not that it's a bad thing......it's one of those quiet movies that let's you think......

It's worth watching if you've followed Yasmin's movies so far....not that it's a continuation or anything...perhaps it is, just can't decide yet......it just enriches the vision of the world she has painted for us so far......besides....YOU SHOULD GO SUPPORT MALAYSIAN CINEMA......and a relatively good one too.....

I'd say it's worth a watch....may not be your cup of tea....but mild food for thought.......
